A professional path that converges
Before practicing law and Costa Rican notarial work, Rosa C. Chacón Vásquez spent more than fifteen years with the Costa Rican Judiciary as a Judicial Expert in Social Work.
That experience brought her into contact with disputes in which legally relevant facts coexist with family dynamics, social circumstances, property decisions, and complex human relationships.
She no longer practices professionally as a social worker. That prior experience, however, remains part of the perspective from which she understands and analyzes the matters that come into her legal practice.
Today, those professional experiences converge in an approach that seeks to analyze each matter with legal rigor, understand its context, and define a strategy proportionate to its particular circumstances.

Legal decisions produce consequences beyond the case file.
A lawsuit, an agreement, a legal instrument, or a negotiation may affect family relationships, property, personal projects, and future decisions.
For that reason, Rosa’s analysis seeks to begin before formal action is taken: understanding what is happening, identifying what is legally relevant, assessing the available alternatives, and anticipating the reasonably foreseeable consequences of each path.
Understanding context does not replace legal analysis. It makes it more precise.

Rosa’s professional experience has allowed her to understand the value of communication, mediation, and negotiated agreements between people involved in a dispute.
When circumstances allow, a consensual solution may reduce the burden of conflict, decrease uncertainty, and allow the parties to retain greater control.
But not every dispute can be resolved that way. When litigation is necessary, Rosa represents her clients’ interests with preparation, firmness, and determination.
Knowing when to seek agreement and when to maintain a position before the courts is also part of sound legal judgment.
